Sean Finnegan, GIS Specialist

Sean Finnegan began working with PAI in January of 2009 as a GIS Specialist/Consultant.  His primary focus is PAI’s Mapping Population and Climate Change interactive website, utilizing GIS and other spatial analyst, analysis, conversion, data management and multi-dimension tool sets in order to import, interpolate, project, convert, and calculate data.  Previously, he was an Associate Producer with National Geographic and Discovery Communications, working on mapping, database and web-based projects. Currently enrolled in the Geographic and Cartographic Information Systems Masters Program at George Mason University, he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Geography and a minor in Geology from the University of Missouri, Kansas City.  His cartographic works have been published in National Geographic books and on National Geographic's website, and he is a member of the American Association of Geographers.
